What is BlinkPay?
BlinkPay is a New Zealand open-banking payments provider: customers approve a payment directly from their own bank account (all major NZ banks supported) instead of typing card numbers. Powered by the industry's Payments NZ API standards, it settles account-to-account — which means dramatically lower per-transaction costs than cards and nothing sensitive for you to store.
Why BlinkPay matters for your business
Card fees quietly take 2–3% of everything you sell. For high-volume, tight-margin or donation-driven organisations, account-to-account payment is the single easiest cost you'll ever cut — and customers increasingly expect a 'pay by bank' option. Open banking is also where NZ payments regulation is heading; integrating now puts you in front of it rather than behind it.
How we help you with BlinkPay
Checkout integration
'Pay by bank' added alongside cards in your checkout — with smart routing to the cheapest rail.
Donation & invoice payments
Fee-light collection for charities and B2B invoicing, where card percentages hurt most.
Recurring & enduring consents
Open-banking recurring payments for memberships and regular giving.
Reconciliation & webhooks
Payment events wired into your systems so nothing gets matched by hand.
The economics — genuinely. We built BlinkPay into our own commission-free donation pages for charities precisely because it lets organisations keep money that card rails would have consumed. The consent flow is clean, the API is modern, and the NZ team behind it is responsive.
