1-day.co.nz was an eCommerce website that handled thousands of simultaneous users — and during one of their famous 1-day sales sold over 40K items in 24 hours.
Flipmind worked with 1-Day since their launch in 2007, designing, developing and handling server architecture. The 1-day daily deals site grew exponentially to become the most popular eCommerce website in the country for a time, testing our software and architecture decisions to the limit.
In December 2013 The Warehouse Group acquired 1-day for a substantial fee. In 2017 the site was folded into The Warehouse Group's TheMarket platform, which ultimately shut down in March 2024.
