1-day.co.nz was an Ecommerce website that handled thousands of simultaneous users and during one of their famous 1-day sales sold over 40K items in 24 hours.
Flipmind worked with 1-Day since their launch in 2007, designing, developing and handling server architecture. The 1-day daily deals site grew exponentially to become the most popular eCommerce website in the country for a time, testing our software and architecture decisions to the limit.
In December 2013 the Warehouse Group acquired it for a substantial fee, then in 2017 The Warehouse Group choose to integrate the 1-day website into its The Market platform which they ultimately shutdown in March 2024.
